This is a full-size, museum-quality replica of the prestigious Order of the Thistle sash and badge, representing one of the highest honors in the United Kingdom and the foremost order of chivalry in Scotland.
The badge features Saint Andrew bearing his distinctive diagonal cross, or saltire, surrounded by the famous Latin motto: “Nemo me impune lacessit” (“No one provokes me with impunity”). Rich in symbolism and historic character, this piece reflects the ceremonial style long associated with Scottish knighthood and royal tradition.
Founded in 1687 by King James VII of Scotland (James II of England), the Order of the Thistle has long been linked to the highest ideals of honor, loyalty, and national pride. The motto itself is deeply rooted in Scottish heraldry and remains one of the most recognized expressions of Scotland’s identity and martial heritage.
