This listing is for a 9-piece U.S. Army cap device and branch-disc lot — including 1× Army cap device (great-seal eagle, large), 4× Air Defense Artillery branch discs (crossed cannons with missile / projectile motif), 1× Field Artillery branch disc (crossed Civil War-era field guns), and 3× \"U.S.\" letter collar discs. All gold / brass-finish stamped metal. Suitable for collectors of U.S. Army Field Artillery / Air Defense Artillery branch insignia, cap devices, and \"U.S.\" identifier collar discs.
📅 ERA & HISTORICAL CONTEXTU.S. Army Field Artillery and Air Defense Artillery branches use crossed-cannon imagery rooted in 19th-century Civil War / Spanish-American War-era field guns. Field Artillery uses two crossed Civil War-era Model 1841 field cannons. Air Defense Artillery (split from Coast Artillery in 1968) uses crossed cannons with a centered missile silhouette — reflecting the modern air-defense mission. Both branches descend from the original U.S. Army Artillery Corps. The \"U.S.\" round letter discs identify enlisted Army personnel collar (worn opposite the branch disc on the dress uniform). The large Army cap device shows the U.S. great-seal eagle on the front of the dress / service cap.
🔍 NOTESYes. The 9-piece lot covers Field Artillery + Air Defense Artillery branches plus general Army identifier (\"U.S.\" discs) and a cap device — a structured starter set for an Artillery-branch collection.
