US Army Wool Jacket Infantry Field Coat Mens 36R WW2 D-Day Olive 3rd 9th Battalion Groups Sergeant
- 100% Wool, Has Multiple Patches such as 4 overseas service stripe bars, a 3 year service stripe, and a US Army 3rd Army Patch on the left arm. On the right arm there is a US Army 9th Army Group, and 2 Staff Sergeant Ranking Patches on each arm. There are 3 Pins with this Jacket, Two of them are actually pinned to the jacket and the US pin was in the pocket, it\'s in usused condition. The Pins are a US 349 Army Infantry Regiment and the other is a World War 2 Gun War Pin L4.
Shoulder to Shoulder = 16\" Shoulder to Wrist = 24\" Shoulder to Waist = 22\" Armpit to Armpit = 19.5\" *Mild Soiling by the neck area as in photos
Pants Measure 30\" Waist X 32\" Length, and there is a small spot of green paint at the cuff of the foot and some unknown pen writings on the inside.
** I have seen and sold many of these jackets and this collection is the best condition i ever got. This particular jacket has mild signs of use but it was kept in great condition. There are two holes by the collar, there was pins in these areas at some point.
- Manufactured by the TDM Clothing MFG Corp for the US Army, this model was first created June 8th, 1944. The Veteran who owned this jacket last was active during D-Day and before D-Day, and i\'m thinking the reason this was kept in such immaculate condition was because he had the original version that he probably beat up and was reissued another in 1948 as he continued to stay in the Armed Forces, i believe advancing the the US Airforce. I have his other jackets with patches identifying his rankings and groups he served in. He had patches that identified him as a Staff Sergeant in the 9th Army Group, a patch from the 3rd Army, a US 349 Infantry Regiment Pin and a WW2 Gun War Pin. Also on the jacket was 4 overseas service bar stripes with one 3 year service stripe.
