Description of the medal.
The medal \"For Labor Valor\" has the shape of a regular circle with a diameter of 34 mm. There is also a medal with a diameter of 35 mm (1945).
On the front side of the medal in the upper part there is a five-pointed relief star covered with ruby-red enamel, in the center of which there are a silver hammer and sickle. The distance between the tops of the opposite rays of the star is 19.2 mm, the length of the side of the beam is 6 mm. Under the star is placed in two lines the inscription “FOR LABOR VALOR” in pressed letters 2.8 mm high, covered with ruby-red enamel. At the bottom of the medal is a relief inscription \"USSR\". The height of the letters of the inscription is 3.3 mm.
On the reverse side of the medal there is a relief inscription “WORK IN THE USSR IS A MATTER OF HONOR” in two lines. The height of the letters of the inscription is 2.5 mm.
The edges of the medal on both sides are bordered with a 0.8 mm wide border.The medal, with the help of an eyelet and a ring, is connected to a pentagonal block covered with a lilac-colored silk moire ribbon with two longitudinal red stripes along the edges.
