I am selling this for my 94-year-old mother-in-law who recently lost her husband.He was a former USMC and has many military collectibles. My mother-in-law is now wanting to sell them.Be sure to check my other listings for more.
This brass (?) embossed plaque shows the flag raising at Iwo Jima. It has "UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS" embossed across the top, and "UNCOMMON VLAOR WAS A COMMON VIRTUE" embossed across the bottom.
This brass plaque is in good condition considering it's age. It is tarnished due to age, and does have some minor nicks on one edge of the front (by the word "UNCOMMON" on the bottom. Back of plaque is blank with some tarnish and dried glue still attached.
Plaque is almost 4-inches in diameter. Please note, this plaque does not have any type of hanger on the back.
