It all belonged to Dr Thomas Goodnight of the 310th Sanitary train 85th division.
He served in WW1 as a medical doctor. He became a Dr in 1913.
In 1918 he saw service in Russia during the polar bear expedition. After WWI he continued practicing, and served on the selective service committee during WWII and passed shortly after.
Very incredible grouping.
This came from an estate in Texas, everything was originally in a shadowbox at one point. The back of photo has some residue from it.
The gold doctor’s corps pin is 14K.
Selective service medal is from his WWII service.
