This sale is for a really lovely Trench Art Letter Opener for the 1914-18 War.. This Great Looking Piece was beautifully hand made during WW1 and incorporates a military button on the end of the handle. I am not sure what service the button is from but it has a winged flaming torch with lightning bolts emanating from it.. To give an idea of size the opener measures just under seven inches in length. There is a slight kink to it where it joins the handle - although this may be intended and original.. The opener has a lovely patina and colour..
A lovely Item of WW1 trench art..
