WW1 Springfield 1903 Ammo Belt - Mills 1919Condition: Fair, with one flap missing, one completely torn off, and three others with rips and most with edge fraying. There are a couple of fray on the bottom edge of the belt. The brass features a nice patina and all snaps are present and working. Each side of the belt reverse is stamped "A 7996". Given the significant wear, it was almost certainly used and issued, likely in conflicts after WW1.
The inside pocket is marked: JAN. 1919 MILLS PAT. JULY 16 '07 MAY 18, 1915. The belt is the M1910 design and would have held 10 ammo cartridges for the Springfield 1903 rifle. The belt can be extended out to about 45". These WW1 Mills 10 pocket ammo belts are getting harder to find, so don't miss out on this one!!
