WWI Era M16 German Helmet, Issued To Afghanistan:

This product is an original WWI era M16 German helmet that was issued to Afghanistan.

Afghans bought a mix of WW1 helmet models from Czechoslovakia in early 30s and they remained in use until early 80s. Since the 1950s a badge was attached on side, which is what the extra holes are for.

I purchased this helmet at an Afghan bazaar outside of Bagram airbase around 2005.

It is a collectible militaria item that has historical significance. The helmet was manufactured in Germany and has the typical design of the M16 helmet used during WWI. It is a rare and unique item that would be of interest to collectors of militaria and historical artifacts.
