Description:
Original WWII / Korean War era U.S. Army militaria grouping.
Nice older group of original U.S. Army medals, ribbons, insignia and corporal chevrons spanning the WWII and Korean War periods.
The highlight is the sterling silver Combat Infantryman Badge with star for a Second Award, maker marked E&H SIMON – STERLING G-I on the reverse. A second award of the Combat Infantryman Badge represents qualifying combat infantry service in more than one authorized conflict. This is a particularly desirable piece for a WWII/Korean War collection.
Also included is an original WWII-era Army Good Conduct Medal with lapel pin and period presentation box. The box retains its original Robbins Company, Attleboro, Massachusetts contract label and wartime date information.
The group also contains a Korean Service Medal, period ribbon bars and loose ribbons representing WWII/Korean-era service and occupation/campaign awards. The Korean Service ribbon has an arrowhead assault device, indicating participation in an authorized combat amphibious or airborne assault. Inchon was one of the Korean War operations for which this device was authorized.
Also included are the vintage corporal rank chevrons and the additional insignia shown in the photographs.
These pieces show normal age, oxidation, ribbon wear and storage wear consistent with vintage military insignia. Nothing has been cleaned or polished.
This is being sold as a collector grouping exactly as pictured. I do not have the veteran’s paperwork or provenance tying every individual piece to a single named soldier, so please examine all photographs carefully.
You receive everything pictured.
