Item Description

Early United States Navy officer\'s hat badge used between 1869 and 1883. Two piece hollow construction with two vent holes on the reverse side. 1 1/4 inches tall by 1 3/8 inches across in size. Pin back with an early jeweler\'s \"T\" pin and simple hook pin catch. There is still some of the gilt / gold plated on the reverse side. Unmarked.
