This is a handsome and increasingly hard-to-find set of pre-WWII Chas.Fischer Civil MKII flying goggles. Constructed to the same pattern as the earlyNavy-issue goggles, this pair is distinguished by the “F.G.” stamp on thebridge—denoting Fischer Goggles—a hallmarkof the company’s well-regarded civilian aviation equipment of the 1930s.
The metal frames remain straight and in verygood condition, showing only light handling wear consistent with careful useand long-term storage. The original glass lenses are clear, undamaged, and infine overall condition. The cushion appears to be an older reproduction but hasbeen expertly fitted and remains soft, clean, and excellent in appearance.
Thegray elasticized strap shows expected age toning but still retains arespectable degree of elasticity, a rarity in goggles of this era. Overall, this is a very good example of a pre-war Fischer MKII set—ideal for displaywith a Golden Age flight helmet, pre-WWII ensemble, or any serious collectionof period aviation eyewear. A classic offering from one of the early aviationgear manufacturers. All items sold are 100% guaranteed.
