Cold War–era US Navy submarine presentation piece awarded at the 83rd Submarine Birthday Ball on April 9, 1983. The front inscription is hand‑signed by a Rear Admiral, USN (RADM) and dedicated for 20 years of qualified submarine service.
The back retains its original, untouched paper backing with handwritten provenance identifying the recipient as Master Chief (SS) Thoresen. The frame is original to the piece, featuring a handmade string hanger and a light honey‑oak finish typical of early‑1980s Navy presentation framing.
This is an authentic, era‑correct submarine‑force service award with complete provenance — not a reproduction or modern décor print.
