Soviet Badge of a Combined Arms Specialist for Officers, 3rdclass, 1960s-80s issue.
GUARANTEED100% ORIGINAL Soviet era badge made exclusively for the Soviet Armed Forces,
not a recent replica or a souvenir!
The badge is VERY wellmade, in solid Brass and high quality Enamels. Measures approx. 67 mm wide, 25-27mm tall. Nice, hefty piece.
This badge was awardedto active duty commissioned officers of all branches of the Soviet Land Forcesfor high degree of combat proficiency. The example we offer is in Excellent condition. The enamel is practically perfect, without visible wear, chips or scratches; there are some imperfections that can be found undermagnifying glass that are probably factory flaws or result of storage wear –unnoticeable to the naked eye. The gilt finish is nice and bright. The silverfinish on the bottom and black finish on the tank are intact. The pinattachment is fully functional.
ATTENTION,FAKE ALERT! There have been fakes of Soviet CombatProficiency badges coming on the market recently. They are easy to spot, butonly if you are paying enough attention. The most noticeable difference is thepin: the fakes we've seen had European style closure with cylindrical catch, much like Romanian badges. Original Soviet Combined Proficiency badges alwayshad a pin that looked exactly like the badge in our photo (and most otherSoviet military badges of the period). Also, fakes seem to lack details; thetank in particular looks way off. Lastly, the shield on the fakes is coveredwith cheap paint or inferior quality enamel as opposed to high quality enamelon the real badges. Be careful not to get burned with one of these copies!
Please note, our photosshow an example but if you buy this badge, we will send you a badge in the sameexact condition and of the same vintage as in our pictures.
The Combined ArmsProficiency badge was required to wear on dress and service uniform alike atall times, so it can be a sensible addition to a Soviet officer uniform of theCold War period. We don’t have many of these – hurry up while supplies last!
