Overall this is a really unique piece. The enamel is original albeit chipped quite heavily at the top of the flag. Elsewhere the enamel is in excellent condition. There is still some silvering present on the obverse, the reverse is still mostly silvered. The screw post is original and full length. Please note the lack of a screw plate. This is a numbered piece, the inside of the engraved numbers (pictured) has an excellent patina. I have included an ultraviolet image to show the lack of modern enamel repairs. This type can be found in ABEPC 8 #774.b, I’ve included a picture of the reference book.
Overall this is a really cool piece of wartime Soviet communications history and it would make a great addition to any Soviet collection!
