USSR 1954/ 1958
Marshal of Soviet Union Ceremonial shoulder straps Model 1958
( 15 turns on the coat of arms of the USSR ).
The ceremonial uniform for marshals of the USSR changed its shape and design, shoulder straps and buttons in 1954.
The coat of arms of the USSR changed its appearance in 1947. instead of 10 turns on the coat of arms (of the union republics), six more turns appeared. In 1957, the Karelo-Finnish SSR was transformed into an autonomous republic, with its capital in Petrozavodsk. Accordingly, one turn disappeared from the coat of arms of the USSR and there were 15 of them left. That is, between 1948 and 1957, there were 16 turns on the coat of arms of the USSR and, accordingly, on the coats of arms of marshal shoulder straps. and since 1958 there have been 15 of them left.
Although, probably, some marshals did not pay too much attention to such “little things” - who would think of counting the ribbons on the coat of arms of the USSR on marshal shoulder straps.
Material: Gold embroidery, hand embroidery, special production.
( The high cost of producing shoulder straps is due to the fact that natural gold thread is used in the production of shoulder straps. Shoulder straps, which are inexpensive, are made not from gold thread, but from metallized, gilded thread) .
