Vintage WWII-era U.S. Army Brigadier General dress uniform set, attributed to Brigadier General Frederick G. Waite, U.S.A. This offering includes the original Class A jacket and matching trousers, both retaining period details and clear identification.
The jacket features one-star Brigadier General rank insignia, original U.S. Army gilt buttons, service stripes, overseas bars, and multiple ribbon bars representing U.S. and foreign service. The name “WAITE” is present, and the trousers retain an original internal identification tag naming Brig. Gen. Frederick G. Waite, providing strong attribution.
Brig. Gen. Frederick G. Waite served in the U.S. Army during World War II, including duty in the Southwest Pacific Theater, where he held senior ordnance and logistical assignments supporting major operations. His career continued into the post-WWII / early Cold War period, and he later served in high-level Army and defense roles before retiring as a general officer. His long service and advancement to general rank make this a historically significant and desirable uniform.
This uniform dates to the late 1940s–early 1950s and represents a WWII-era officer worn post-World War II, rather than a wartime “pinks and greens” uniform.
