This isfor ONE PAIRof REPRODUCTIONUSArmy OfficerAir Service (with wings over flags) Insignia Pins. Thisisthe collarinsignia worn by Officers from theUS ArmyOfficer Air Service and would have worn on the service coat. The picture shows the front and back. Each pair will come with clutch back fasteners.
Early on the Air Service had been part of the Signal Corps, also there was some signal corps Air Service variations around before the wings and propeller design came out.
Why did we go with a pin back and not pin and catch? So these cannot be mixed up and mistaken for original items. So they can be attached and removed from uniforms without making any large holes and are easy to adjust.
