RARE! Soviet Russian M1954 Air Force Pilot Officer Visor Cap Sz.57
On February 24, 1949, by Order No. 037 of the Minister of the Armed Forces, a new uniform regulation for the Air Force and Armored Forces was introduced. This regulation stipulated that metal laurel leaf decorations be attached to the visor of the service cap.
Later, in 1954, the visors of service caps across all branches of the Soviet Armed Forces were redesigned with a rounded shape, and this change was also applied to Air Force caps. This version of the cap was in use for about a year before being discontinued in 1955, following the introduction of a new dress uniform.
