Offered here is an original Soviet Union (USSR / CCCP) Motorized Infantry (Motor Rifle Troops) / Internal Forces–type collar tab insignia, featuring the classic five-pointed star within a laurel wreath in a gold-tone (gilt) finish. This example retains the desirable horizontal “moustache” bar-back mounting style, used to pass through the collar tab and secure the device cleanly on uniform fabric.
Compared with the darker field-finish versions, the gold-tone examples are typically associated with dress or service uniform presentation, making this a strong display piece for USSR militaria collectors.
