Item Description
Authentic World War II U.S. Military M-2 Jungle Medical Individual First Aid Kit, complete with vintage contents.
The canvas pouch is a late-war Olive Drab Shade 7 (OD7) cotton duck container manufactured by the Arakelian Co. and explicitly stamped with the wartime production date of 1945. The front displays a clear, legible "U.S." stamp, and the snaps function perfectly. The reverse features both the vertical fabric belt loop and the M1910 double-hook wire connector for web belt attachment.
The kit includes its internal fabric dividers and comes packed with the following field gear:
1. Carlisle Model First-Aid Packet: Original embossed dark olive drab metal tin (unopened).
2. Gaby Insect Repellent Bottle: Clear 2 oz. glass bottle with its original paper label fully intact.
3. Sunburn Protective Stick: Heavy dark plastic/bakelite tube labeled "Type II, Hot Climate".
4. Water Purification Tablets: Amber glass bottle by Van Brode Milling Co. (Note: This is a later Vietnam-era addition dated MFD 3/74, showing this kit's long-standing surplus history).
5. Two Clear Storage Vials: Original plastic moisture-resistant medicine vials with white lids.
Condition Note:
The canvas is sturdy with no major rips or holes. Hardware shows a natural aged patina. All text, stamps, and paper labels are highly legible. Please examine the photos closely for the exact cosmetic condition.
Disclaimer: Sold strictly as a historic military collectible for display purposes. Not intended for modern medical or topical use.
The canvas belt slide is not attached at the top, and some of the items inside are from Vietnam Era.
