Original vintage WWII-era U.S. Army Air Forces AAFTS Instructor badge.
The badge is marked “INSTRUCTOR” across the top and “AAFTS” across the bottom, with a winged propeller/aviation emblem in the center. It has a deep blue/purple enamel background with gold/brass-colored lettering, border and details.
AAFTS refers to the Army Air Forces Training School/Training system, making this an interesting piece of WWII U.S. Army Air Forces instructor and aviation history.
Condition: Original vintage condition with age-related wear. I have not cleaned or polished the badge. Please enlarge and examine all photographs carefully for exact condition.
This came from an old collection containing military insignia from several different periods and countries. No individual serviceman provenance is being claimed.
